So when Stephanie and Ben asked us to photograph an Engagement Session for them… we said no way!
Just kidding! Of course we agreed! Stephanie and Ben are actually good friends of ours, and became engaged last year. In fact, they got engaged 5 days before we did! (Ironically, another good friend of ours became engaged 364 days after we did!) So must be July is a good month to get engaged! Steph and Ben are very unique, so we knew it wouldn’t be your ordinary E Session. They selected a natural outdoorsy theme for their session, so off to the Marcellus and Skaneateles areas are we went! We started off at Nine Mile Creek in Marcellus, where we got some pretty photos by the water and trees. I think Ben would rather have been fishing for trout, but Steph’s pretty smile kept him focused on photos… for a little bit.
After a few shots there, Colleen aggressively suggested we take a trip down to the Public Boat Launch Site, on Skaneateles Lake. With the bright blue sky, and fluffy white clouds, it was the perfect place to get some shots by the water, in a more private setting. Stephanie and Ben (mostly Ben) are rarely serious, so it was to be expected that they (he) would be goofy for most of the shoot. PERFECT! The photos emulate them pretty well, in fact.
Before leaving, we met a little green friend, who really did not enjoy our company. He managed to find a nice little hiding spot nestled under the tire of a truck that was launching a boat. We didn’t stay to find out what happened, but we suspect if you’ve ever played Frogger, we don’t need to say much more. We ended the day with bite to eat, and a couple Red Apple Sangrias at Applebee’s, which was very nice, since wedding season rarely allows us much time to spend with our favorites! Thanks guys, for such a fun day! It was nice getting to spend time with you, and getting to be your photogs for the day! Congratulations, can’t wait for the wedding at the Frog Pond in June! Hopefully, any frogs we encounter there, have a better fate than the one we encountered at your E Session! 🙂
Le gach dea-ghuí,
