What a great day we had with Kayla and Dave! The day started out wet and dreary, but when we arrived into town, the fair weather that we ordered, showed up as promised! 🙂 We started out at the historic Union Station in Utica, New York. It made for some stunning engagement photos inside with it’s impressive marble pillars and cathedral ceilings. Nothing could have been more exciting though, than our trip out on the platform! Colleen learned that the yellow line along the edge should not be sat on when a train is passing – not even just to “get that shot”! The train engineer didn’t mind blowing the horn to make that known! After getting some cool shots at the train station, we traveled to their home on Dave’s family farm. The creek was beautiful, and made a great place to get some more fun, informal shots of the couple. Lastly, we finished up with some cute images by the old barn. We included our own modern interpretation of Grant Wood’s American Gothic with a photo of the couple standing in front of the barn, with a pitchfork!
Thank you Kayla and Dave, for graciously inviting us to your home, and allowing us the opportunity to document your love for one another! Congratulations!
Le gach dea-ghuí,
(With all good wishes)
