Wedding at Plymouth Congregational Church & Justin’s Grill ♥ Abby + Brendan

The weather could not have been more perfect on the day Abby and Brendan were married! A nice sunny day, but not too hot, or too cool! Our couples always seem to be so good at ordering great weather for their wedding days, and these two were no exception! Last fall, we had a very awesome time with these guys on their engagement session, complete with “Johnny”, the couple’s four legged friend. To revisit their session, visit our blog post here. Fast forward ten months to their August wedding… When Colleen arrived to document the preparations for the bride and her girls, everyone was relaxed and excited at the same time. A bored “Johnny” waited out back on the picnic table, for his chance to get in on the celebration.  An already pretty Abby, slowly emerged into a stunning bride with the help of her makeup artist and hair stylist in the company of her mom and bridesmaids. Meanwhile, Brendan and his gentlemen arrived with Greg in Armory Square, to kick off the celebration in style, at the Blue Tusk Pub. After a few drinks, it was time for Abby and Brendan to meet at the sanctuary in the Plymouth Congregational Church, where they would hear the sermon of Reverend Quinn Caldwell. After a beautiful service that included some laughs, some tears, and a lot of love, Abby and Brendan were joined together in matrimony. After a few family portraits at the church, the couple and their bridal party rode happily to Upper Onondaga Park, where a very impatient “Johnny”…

Wedding at Traditions at the Links in East Syracuse ♥ Meghan + Joshua

Our Great Adventure began with Meghan and Josh back in April, when we traveled down to Washington D.C, to shoot their E-Session. We enjoyed a fantastic weekend wandering around the National Mall, The Botanic Gardens, and The Jefferson Memorial, and chatting about plans for their big day. If you haven’t already, see their Engagement Portraits here. After having lots of time to bond with Meghan and Josh, we were very excited about being a part of their wedding day. The very talented Justin Mayer of Mayer Video accompanied us for the day, capturing the special moments and events on video. Colleen began with Meghan getting ready with her girls at her parents’ beautiful home, and Greg began with Josh getting ready with his diverse group of grooms-people at the popular Craftsman Inn, both in Fayetteville. A stunning Meghan and her girls rode to the First Presbyterian Church in Chittenango in style, aboard a limo bus, where a patient Josh waited with his attendants. Before the ceremony began, Meghan’s Grandmother made a special visit to see the bride, as her tearful granddaughters welcomed her, and were thankful for her being able to make their joyous event. Shortly after, Josh and Meghan took a few minutes to have some photos taken as they each stood, unable to see each other, on either side of the church entrance door. They held hands and prepared for the ceremony to begin with blown kisses through the door. The entrance music, handpicked by the couple and performed by special friends began as guests readied for their…

Cindy + Kenny = Married | Wedding Photography at St Vincent de Paul, Lincoln Park & Justin’s Grill, Syracuse NY

We were very happy when Cindy and Kenny came to meet with us, to discuss their wedding. And even more thrilled when they invited us to be part of their special day! The day started out with a bit of anxiety, since the weather forecast called for some pretty nasty rain and thunderstorms later in the day – right about the time that we would be preparing to leave the church. But as the day progressed, it was apparent that Mother Nature was working in Cindy and Kenny’s favor. The warm glow of the sun lit up the day almost as much as their love for one another. A beautiful and elegant Cindy, walked gracefully down the aisle with her father, to meet her groom at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Syracuse. The priest performed a lovely ceremony that joined their love and their hearts together in marriage. Following the ceremony, we made a quick trip up the hill to Lincoln Park. We loved getting the chance to take them up there to see the city from up above, and it proved to be a beautiful backdrop for their formal photos. The families were both so much fun to work with, and had a great sense of humor. And it shows in their photos! Once the bridal party was all loaded back up into the bus, we headed off to Justin’s Grill in East Syracuse, to begin the celebration! Receptions are always a lot of fun, it’s when everyone let’s their hair down, and has a good time. People…
