Caitlin + John’s Engagement Session on Canandaigua Lake

Caitlin and John’s engagement session at Canandaigua Lake kicked off a great weekend for us! We had no idea just how amazing the views would be when we got there, so we were pretty excited as we neared the lake.

We started their session at a private family lake cottage, where a short trail made way to a quiet little creek. We took some photographs inside the creek bed, and by the colorful blooms of the black-eyed Susans, before we had to chase the light with a short drive to the beach. After cracking open a bottle of wine, and and enjoying the spectacular blue water and skies, Caitlin and John hopped in the canoe for a few more photographs to capture the beauty that surrounded us.

After a few glasses (or a bottle) of wine, we try to be careful what we jokingly suggest to our couples. Though sometimes it makes for humorous photographs like the one of John almost throwing Caitlin into the water! *Note: No brides-to-be were harmed, or took unexpected dips into the lake during this engagement session. Following our session, Caitlin and John invited us to join them for some grub. We kicked back with some seriously delicious Chicken Wing Pizza at Pontillo’s, and chatted for a bit before heading out.

Guys, to say you were fun to work with, would be an understatement! We’re so glad you decided to have your session at the lake, it couldn’t have been more perfect! Thank you for treating us to dinner, it was a pleasure getting extra time to get to know you! We are really excited and looking forward to your wedding day!
