Portrait Session in Cherry Valley, NY ♥ Amy + Liam

It seems like forever since the weather was nice enough to have an outdoor session! So we were really looking forward to our return visit to Cherry Valley, and the beautiful property we’ve become so familiar with! It was a warm, but beautiful evening spent with Amy, Liam and Lael, as we wandered about inside and out capturing the beauty of such a sweet family, at the home that has so much history for them and their family. The lush green fields filled with dandelions, the cattle and the rustic barns made for an idyllic backdrop for their session. Once the sun set behind the trees, darkening the valley, we went indoors for a few more portraits inside the house. It almost feels incorrect calling it a house, since once inside, it feels like a step back in time, filled with history and memories, and mementos of a bygone era. Thank you Amy and Liam, for inviting us back to share a lovely evening with you all – it was such a pleasure! We are looking forward to coming back again this fall, to celebrate another wonderful wedding, and see some familiar faces! Can’t wait! Family Portraits at Tipperary Hill + Central Square Railroad Museum ♥ Moran Piel Family

The long-awaited family session with Daniel, Mara and the children was finally able to happen! After several not-so-good weather days, and sick little ones, we finally picked a day where all the stars aligned! And what a fun time we had with them! We started out our afternoon meeting back up at Mara’s favorite place – Tipperary Hill. We took a few photos at the Stone Thrower’s Park, where we met just over a year ago when we photographed them on their wedding day. Finishing up there, we drove down the road a piece, to the James Pass Arboretum. That’s where we took a few pictures of the kids running around and having a little bit of family fun. The sweet little flower garden there, and across the street at the Tipp Hill sign, gave us some pretty spots for some relaxed pictures of them as a family. Once we finished up there, we headed off to the place Colleen had so been waiting to go to! Not even sure where the idea came from now, since it was almost two years from the date we initially planned to visit there with them, but we reserved the idea until we were able to get this session booked. The Railroad Museum in Central Square was our destination! The kids really enjoyed running from train to train, checking them all out.  It was really a blast getting to spend the morning with them.  The kids have grown so much, and are really developing their own personalities. Miss Kenzie has turned into quite…

Family Portraits at Colgate University in Hamilton ♥ Hollister Family

We were so looking forward to warm weather so we could meet back up with the Hollisters for their family session! Last fall we did a session with them, while the little pumpkin was still just a baby bump. Take a peek at those shots here. Now that Sir Jaxson was here, we knew his addition to family would make for some pretty adorable portraits. We were right! It was a gorgeous afternoon, a little muggy, but overall a fantastic day for us to have some fun on the grounds of Colgate University in Hamilton. Jaxson came with his big sister Madison, and furry friend Jade, in tow. Mom and Dad- Katie and Chris also came along to show us their pretty smiles! Aunt Carrie came along to help, and give us the grand tour. We weren’t lucky enough to find a spot void of goose poop to sit by the beautiful pond, but managed to find some nice photogenic scenes by the paths, stream and gardens to capture some really cute pictures of this lovable little family. We really enjoyed wandering around such a great campus with these guys! They are so precious and near and dear to our hearts! Thank you all for coming out to play with us, it was so much fun! Family Portraits at Tim’s Pumpkin Patch & Otisco Lake Park in Marietta ♥ Hollister Family

We met up with Chris, Katie and Madison on such a gorgeous autumn afternoon, to take some portraits of their cute little growing family. A new member of the family, Jaxson, is expected to arrive on New Year’s Eve, so there wasn’t much time left to get some good photos before the infamous Central New York weather set in! We met up first at Tim’s Pumpkin Patch in Marietta, NY. We were excited to get to see Madison pick out her pumpkins, and to snap a few photos of the three of them enjoying the pumpkin farm. With lots of little kids running around in the barn straw maze, Colleen decided to go in and scout it out for good photo spots. When, what to her wondering eyes should appear? Not Santa or some reindeer, but the world’s creepiest little girl on a swing! And she was singing… Colleen didn’t hang around there too long, but Madison was excited to see the freakish Halloween decoration, so we went back in to snap a photo. The best part was – all the children running around in the straw maze thought nothing of it, but the parents seemed to think it was pretty darn creepy! We wandered around the farm for a bit before Madison started to feel a little cranky, so we decided to go pick out pumpkins. After everyone, including Jaxson, got their pumpkins, we took a spin through the animal barn with Madison. Inside was a 1000 pound pig, cute little baby goats and some bunnies. Maddie didn’t mind…

Leuenberger Family | Family Portrait Photography At Lorenzo State Historic Site, Cazenovia NY

As photographers, we really value the opportunity to try out new places to photograph. So when Christina contacted us looking for a unique and fun place to take their family portraits, we were very excited! Being as interested in historical places are we are, we loved the idea of touring the mansion at the Lorenzo State Historic Site, nestled in beautiful Cazenovia, New York. Photos are only allowed outside the mansion, on the beautifully manicured grounds and gardens, but we decided to take the tour inside first. What a great place, inside and out! Full of history and beautiful backdrops for their photos, we had a variety great spots to choose from! Christina and Bob had fun trying to keep the four rowdy boys in line, resulting in very natural, and genuine portraits! Thanks guys for such a fun shoot, we had a great time!  …
