Engagement Session at Butternut Creek, DeWitt, NY ♥ Stefanie + Andrew

We are delighted to share with you our most recent engagement session, with Stefanie and Andrew at the Butternut Creek in DeWitt! They sure did pick one of the coldest days for their session with us, but they never let the freezing temperatures get to them! We started the session with their fur babies, “Severus” and “Molly”, who were all dolled up for the occasion! After the “kids” left, we wandered on the path, stopping along the way to get some really sweet, and funny portraits. Stefanie and Andrew had some really great ideas for their session, and we really enjoyed getting some unique shots for them. But you’re going to have to wait to see those, while the Muggles cook up a really magical Save the Date card for their wedding guests! In the mean time, enjoy some our favorite shots of them, that aren’t top secret! These guys are a super fun pair, and we really look forward to being a part of their extra special wedding day! Thanks for coming out to play with us in the snow, guys! You all were troupers! Le gach dea-ghuí, (With all good wishes) Colleen & Greg…

Engagement Session at Inner Harbor, Syracuse, NY ♥ Megan + Pat

Now, here are a couple of troupers for you. Not only did these two bundle up for one of the snowiest and coldest days and places for an E-session, but they also missed an SU basketball game just to come out and play with us! Many folks have a little (or a lot) of anxiety about having their photos taken. Not Megan and Pat! They were like naturals for the camera, despite the bitter cold. Our first stop was at the Inner Harbor in Syracuse, where in the summer there’s a lot of activity and enjoyment. The day we met up with them for their session, we were pretty much the only crazy people there. And with good reason! But Mother Nature gave some pretty nice snowflakes for our trouble. We warmed up (okay not really) with some photos by the bridge, until some snow throwing broke out. The snow was not good for packing, and it was quite evident that Pat was not a huge fan of the gesture. No worries, Megan got her fair share of some snow in the face, too. It was all in good fun, and after Megan managed to clean Pat up, we headed over to the old loading building for a few more photos of the love birds. By that time, we all needed a little warm-up, and headed out to Baldwinsville for some good hot chocolate and coffee while we waited for dark to come. Once we thawed out, we went to one of our favorite landmarks – the Baldwinsville bridge! After…

Engagement Session at Hayloft on the Arch, Vernon Center, NY ♥ Lauren + Jeff

There’s nothing like a little bit of love to warm you up during a Central New York Winter! We were honored when we were asked to work with local photographer Jeff Anderton and his beautiful fiancée Lauren, for their wedding at the Hayloft on the Arch.  And even more excited when they requested a winter time E-Session right there at the the same venue.  Lauren and Jeff both brought lots of love and energy with them to the session, and we enjoyed getting some really lovely shots of them inside the barn. After taking a few shots of his own, Jeff brought along his guitar and played some beautiful music for his beloved, while she listened intently atop the rustic bar! How cute are they? With a little help from lighting specialist Carl Naples, of DJ by Design, we were able to create a beautiful backdrop for some of their indoor portraits. After a break, and a yummy dinner at the Turning Stone, we came back for a night shot outside the barn. As beautiful as it is in winter with a nice coating of snow across the grounds, we are really looking forward to seeing it decorated for them in the fall, with the beautiful bride and groom and all of their friends and family! Can’t wait for the wedding! Thank you, Jeff + Lauren, for coming out to play with us in the freezing cold, joining us for dinner, and being such good sports -we had a blast! Le gach dea-ghuí,(With all good wishes) Colleen & Greg…
