Wedding at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Homer, NY ♥ Martha + CJ

Martha and CJ’s recent wedding was one of the prettiest backyard celebrations we’ve had the pleasure of photographing! But before we gush over their wedding, let’s first reflect back on their Engagement Session! We had such a great time photographing that, and getting to meet spunky little Boo, that we knew we were going to have a fantastic time working with them on their wedding day! If you missed out on our blog post of their session last fall, please do take a minute to visit, because it is a must-see! But getting back to their wedding day, it was a gorgeous summer day with perfect temperatures and bright blue skies. Their ceremony was filled with laughs and tears of joy alike. And their bridal party was a complete blast – what a great group of friends and family! And their reception was one that will surely go down in history as being one of the greatest celebrations under a tent! Which by the way, deserves a very honorable mention! A great lot of hard work, creativity, and planning went into making it such a beautiful space for their reception. Something that only a great team of professionals can put together! Without further ado, we invite you to check out the highlights from beginning to end! Rustic Farm Engagement Session, Hector, NY ♥ Erika & Dan

You may be questioning it, but Spring is here! And now that we can see the grass again, it means we’re in full swing shooting! A lot of us here in Central New York are feeling a bit of a slump after so many dreary, cloudy and rainy days, but there is one thing that we can say without a doubt – we’re glad it’s not snow! Though it may not have been a traditional sunny warm spring day, Erika and Dan didn’t seem to mind when we met with them for their recent engagement session. They brought along their friendly pups for a few fun portraits at their beautiful farm land in Hector, NY. We had a really great time with them for our first engagement session of 2017, and are looking forward to their wedding this fall! We got a quick sneak peek of their venue, and we’re telling you for sure – it’s going to be breath-taking! Lourdes Camp Engagement Session, Skaneateles, NY ♥ Martha & CJ

We just adored Martha and CJ’s engagement session at Lourdes Camp, in Skaneateles! It was a delightful fall afternoon and the perfect place to have their session, with all of the leaves changing colors!Lourdes Camp is situated right on Skaneateles Lake at Tenmile Point, where the scenic views from the beach are just breathtaking! They brought along their cute, furry little friend, “Boo”, who totally wanted to steal all the thunder away from them, right from the very start! He tried so hard, too! He was just so cute, that we couldn’t help but let him have a little bit of attention. The dry summer that turned into fall left the creek bed nice and dry – a perfect place to put these love birds for a portrait! Boo really didn’t give up on being the center of attention. In fact, he even upped his game as the session went on. But, Martha and CJ still managed to keep in a romantic mood despite the antics of their four-legged fur baby. Especially with the campfire, and some cuddles to keep them warm. Our time with them came to a close when the skies opened up and the rain that threatened the session all day finally made an appearance. But we didn’t mind a bit! What an awesome session this was, Marth and CJ (and Boo, too)! We really had a great time, and the two (or three) of you were so easy to work with! We are eager to be there with you again next year for the wedding! Le gach dea-ghuí, (With all…

Rustic Farm Wedding Cherry Valley, NY ♥ Amy + Liam

There couldn’t be a better time for a rustic farm wedding, than in the fall. The colors, the crisp autumn air, sweaters, boots and a roaring fire pit were all just small parts of Amy and Liam’s wedding day that made it extra special, in Cherry Valley.Their wedding color was one that we love and are surrounded by in our every day lives – a beautiful, yellowy-green. Amy’s bouquet has definitely ranked #1 of all the fall bouquets we have had the luxury of seeing. It was so organic and beautiful, and the aroma of oregano only added to its charm. It was the perfect blend of colors, textures, and fragrances that made it the perfect autumn bouquet. Their shoes were also some of my favorites too! This isn’t our first time at Glensfoot. We’ve actually been there 4 times now for 2 weddings, and 2 engagement sessions, and yet each time the property seems to take on the personality of who we’re there to photograph. It was wonderful seeing the Yellow Barn transformed into a cocktail lounge, and the Century Barn turned into a Cinema for the children to be entertained. We have wondered more than once if the walls could talk, what they might say.Amy and Liam took a relaxed and low-key approach to their wedding day. They left behind the worries of modern wedding traditions and embraced a day that was filled with family, friends, love, and togetherness.Dusty, the couple’s dog decided all on his own that he wanted to be a part of walking the bride down the…

Winery Wedding at Wagner Vineyards, Lodi, NY ♥ Alexa + Ryan

Alexa and Ryan’s winery wedding at Wagner Vineyards was our first wedding this year that actually felt like fall. It was just a year ago that we first visited Watkins Glen with the happy couple, along with Caly, for their engagement session. Alexa started the wedding day by getting dolled up at the New Image Hair Net Work in Watkins Glen… While Ryan was “pampered” at the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel. (Also, be sure to watch the highlight reel at the bottom for images of the “pampering”.)After all the ladies were finished with hair and makeup, they headed back to Alexa’s parents to get into their dresses, and help the bride get into hers. And the guys… well, they did more guy things. Near water. With alcohol.Alexa made an absolutely stunning bride! And “little” Miss Caly, who isn’t quite so little anymore, made an appearance all decked out in her own pearls, in some portraits with her “Mom”.Before we knew it, it was time to head over to Wagner Vineyards for their ceremony.A beautiful reception, catered by the staff at the Ginny Lee Cafe, right at Wagner, followed their heartwarming exchange of vows and rings. Not a slice of cake to be found at this wedding! Can’t have a fall wedding without a slice of an amazing assortment of pies, courtesy of The Village Bakery.A lot of dancing and epic moves were performed on the dance floor, made possible with music from Bill at Black Tie Entertainment. It was fantastic to finally work with Bill, who had remained “elusive” through the years…

Wedding at The LakeWatch Inn, Ithaca, NY ♥ Erin + Vinny

We were so excited to kick off another summer wedding season with Erin and Vinny at The LakeWatch Inn, in Ithaca, NY! Not only were Erin and Vinny one of the sweetest couples, but their “furkid” Wylie is so ridiculously adorable, we almost couldn’t take it. He totally stole the show at their engagement session last fall. We were perfectly okay with that! Erin and Vinny prepared for their wedding day so calmly, despite the threat of not just a thunderstorm, but a possible tornado. No worries though, Nicole at the LakeWatch was ready for whatever Mother Nature decided to dish out. Though the looming storm ultimately moved their ceremony indoors, it was just as beautiful, and the Bride and Groom were poised and stunning throughout it all. A break in the weather thankfully allowed us to get their family portraits outside, and some with the newlyweds as well. The staff served a fantastic meal, followed by that stunning cake! How about that cake topper huh? Definitely one of our favorites! A little bit of rain in the evening allowed us a chance to sneak Erin and Vinny out onto the deck, for a stunning night portrait with the rain behind them. Complete with the beautiful blue sky to match their wedding colors! After a great party and lots of dancing, the couple received a sparkler send off, and lit on out of there in a beautiful blue get-away car. It was a wonderful day, and no rain or thunderstorm was going to stop them from having a good time.…

Engagement Session at Butternut Creek, DeWitt, NY ♥ Stefanie + Andrew

We are delighted to share with you our most recent engagement session, with Stefanie and Andrew at the Butternut Creek in DeWitt! They sure did pick one of the coldest days for their session with us, but they never let the freezing temperatures get to them! We started the session with their fur babies, “Severus” and “Molly”, who were all dolled up for the occasion! After the “kids” left, we wandered on the path, stopping along the way to get some really sweet, and funny portraits. Stefanie and Andrew had some really great ideas for their session, and we really enjoyed getting some unique shots for them. But you’re going to have to wait to see those, while the Muggles cook up a really magical Save the Date card for their wedding guests! In the mean time, enjoy some our favorite shots of them, that aren’t top secret! These guys are a super fun pair, and we really look forward to being a part of their extra special wedding day! Thanks for coming out to play with us in the snow, guys! You all were troupers! Le gach dea-ghuí, (With all good wishes) Colleen & Greg…

Engagement Session in Skaneateles, NY ♥ Erin + Vinny

We’re very happy to introduce Erin and Vinny, and their fantastic engagement session in the Village of Skaneateles, to you! It’s one of Central New York’s most beautiful villages to see, and to spend an evening! We can’t say enough about what a gorgeous autumn day it was, with the golden sunshine, pretty blue skies riddled with fluffy clouds, followed by a perfect sunset! We started the session right in the village, in front of St. James Episcopal Church, and then lazily wandered across town, stopping at several spots along the way, capturing some sweet images of an even sweeter couple! As we approached the pier at Clift Park, we were joyfully joined by “Wylie”, Erin and Vinny’s Boston Terrier – ready for his close-ups, wearing his bow tie! After a couple of head shots, and a handful of treats, Wylie let the couple wander off to the Skaneateles Lake Pier for some romantic photos by the water. Mother Nature kindly lent us a breathtaking backdrop for the their photos, as we wrapped up their session! Thank you so much Erin, Vinny, and Wylie, for coming out to play with us on such a great day! We really enjoyed spending the evening with you guys, and anxiously look forward to your wedding next year, at one of our favorite places – The LakeWatch Inn! Le gach dea-ghuí, (With all good wishes) Colleen & Greg…

Engagement Session at Pulteney Park and Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY ♥ Kara + Nick

Kara and Nick were such a great couple to photograph! If we didn’t know better, we would have thought that they had done this before. As awkward as they may have thought they were going to be, they were very relaxed, and had no problem forgetting that we were even there! The light was perfect for their evening engagement session in Geneva, and we started out near the historic Row Houses on South Main Street. We had the perfect opportunity, with the parade going on down the road, to get some shots of the two of them around town. Considering that it’s an otherwise busy area, we encountered hardly any people, giving these two a chance to be cute and romantic, with only a couple of hecklers. Making our way down to Pulteney Park, we stopped for some beautiful sun-lit portraits, before getting to the unique water fountain, that sparked some childhood memories and giggles for Nick. Before heading off to meet up with Eva, the couple’s German Shepherd, we stopped for a quick gaze at the picturesque Seneca Lake. Afterward, we took a short drive to the Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where we greeted with some VERY LOUD “Hellos!” from Eva. Though all bark and no bite, not gonna lie, we initially thought we would be leaving with a couple less limbs. I’m guessing she sensed we were cat owners, and decided to express her feelings on that. As long as she was cuddling with her humans, she was a happy pup! We finished up their session by…

Wedding at The LakeWatch Inn, Ithaca ♥ Sarah + Mike – Part One

Let’s start off this blog post with a bit of honesty. This has been one of the most agonizing blog posts that we have had to compile, ever. This couple had a wedding day for the books, in being so awesome, with so many memorable and touching moments from beginning to end. Which inevitably made it very difficult to narrow down our favorite images that highlighted the day. So for the first time, we are going to do something different, by blogging not one, but TWO parts to represent everything awesome that was Sarah and Mike’s wedding! It was never a doubt for us that Sarah and Mike would have an absolutely awesome wedding day. When we met them for the first time almost exactly a year ago, we traveled to Jersey City for their engagement session. There we also had the pleasure of meeting their four-legged roommate; the lovable Skippy! We really enjoyed getting to bond with them, and see just how perfect they are for each other. If you missed the blog post on their E-Session, you can enjoy it here. Every couple, and every wedding is unique and special in its own way, but we were particularly impressed by Mike’s involvement in the planning, and how dedicated they both were to making their day tailored especially to them! Their day started at the historic Benn Conger Inn, in Groton, where Mike and his groomsmen readied inside the main house. Sarah, Skippy, and her bridesmaids prepared for the day in the beautiful, Victorian cottage right next door. It…

Wedding at Plymouth Congregational Church & Justin’s Grill ♥ Abby + Brendan

The weather could not have been more perfect on the day Abby and Brendan were married! A nice sunny day, but not too hot, or too cool! Our couples always seem to be so good at ordering great weather for their wedding days, and these two were no exception! Last fall, we had a very awesome time with these guys on their engagement session, complete with “Johnny”, the couple’s four legged friend. To revisit their session, visit our blog post here. Fast forward ten months to their August wedding… When Colleen arrived to document the preparations for the bride and her girls, everyone was relaxed and excited at the same time. A bored “Johnny” waited out back on the picnic table, for his chance to get in on the celebration.  An already pretty Abby, slowly emerged into a stunning bride with the help of her makeup artist and hair stylist in the company of her mom and bridesmaids. Meanwhile, Brendan and his gentlemen arrived with Greg in Armory Square, to kick off the celebration in style, at the Blue Tusk Pub. After a few drinks, it was time for Abby and Brendan to meet at the sanctuary in the Plymouth Congregational Church, where they would hear the sermon of Reverend Quinn Caldwell. After a beautiful service that included some laughs, some tears, and a lot of love, Abby and Brendan were joined together in matrimony. After a few family portraits at the church, the couple and their bridal party rode happily to Upper Onondaga Park, where a very impatient “Johnny”…

Engagement Session in Jersey City ♥ Mike + Sarah

If you hadn’t guessed by now, Greg and Colleen are big fans of travel! Getting a change of scenery, and photographing their clients outside of Central New York is one of their favorite things to do, so when asked, we will almost always try to accommodate! Recently, we had the pleasure of working with new clients Mike and Sarah, in a city near and dear to them; Jersey City! We met up with the amorous couple, and their friendly pup, Skippy, to photograph them in celebration of their engagement, and upcoming wedding. It was beautiful day, just perfect with sunshine and mild temperatures. Skippy was very happy to tag along with us for a few pictures at Hamilton Park, across from their quaint little apartment. After a walk around the park, a restrained Skippy had all he could do from chasing all the park squirrels up the trees! He managed to contain himself long enough for us to get a few great shots of his “parents” outside the picturesque brownstones that framed the perimeter of the park. After a few treats, we bid farewell to our new four-legged friend, as we followed Mike and Sarah to the historic Powerhouse Arts District for a more quiet and urban setting for portraits. The brick, cobblestone streets, rusty steel, and graffiti laden buildings provided a fantastic scene for us to encapsulate their bond into their portraits. We then took a short drive, to the Liberty State Park where we got some shots of them with the impressive Freedom Tower, and the pretty New…
