Fingerlakes Wedding at Club 86, Geneva NY ♥ Elizabeth + Michael

Elizabeth and Michael’s wedding at St. Stephen’s Church and Club 86 brought us back to the picturesque Seneca Lake area, this time at the top of the lake. When we met them almost a year ago, we ventured to the bottom of the lake at Watkins Glen, for their engagement session. It was one of the most perfect fall days, back then, but on their wedding day it sure was HOT. Thankful for the beautiful breezes off the lake, though, they never once complained about the weather – they were far too busy soaking up all the love and happiness that surrounded them on their beautiful day. The girls started out at the Studio Salon to have their hair done, while Michael stayed in his daily tradition of polishing his shoes. After their hair appointments, the ladies returned to the Ramada Inn, to have makeup applied by Kayla of Exquisite Skincare Spa.It wasn’t long before it was time to head to the church for the ceremony to begin. An emotional Liz and her father made their way down the aisle, to greet Michael who was beaming at the altar.A beautifully crafted unity cross was assembled by Liz and Mike, as an important symbol of their faith and commitment.Despite the fact that the thermometer in the church read 108 degrees, neither of them seemed to break a sweat, and were full of joy as they celebrated their nuptials. After the ceremony, we headed to the lake shore to get some formal photos, and take advantage of the breathtaking views, and let’s not kid…

Wedding at St. Stephen’s Church, Geneva, NY ♥ Danielle + Chris

When we met Danielle and Chris, we knew right away that we were going to love being their photographers! When they mentioned a New Year’s Eve wedding and celebration of the holiday, we had no idea what we were in store for, but we can tell you now that it was everything we had hoped for and more! We started out our day with a very relaxed Danielle, and her lovely ladies at the historic William Smith Inn, in Geneva. The perfect place to stay for your wedding, if you would like a warm welcome, and plenty of hospitality! The girls took an easy going approach to getting ready, and everything was calm and serene, until… the guys showed up. I think the actual party started before they even arrived. A fun-loving group, but in no way were they short on energy and laughs. We all picked up the pace to keep up with Chris and his boys, (and also because it was 20 degrees outside). After a sweet first look session, we got a chance to do it again, since the groom was wearing the wrong tie. Chris, your wife was on the money – tie number two was definitely the better choice! After cracking the whip on the boys, we got a few fun photos inside the inn, before heading out to take some formal shots of the two love birds and bridal party on the gorgeous Seneca Lake. When it was “go” time, there were no complaints to be heard about getting to St. Stephen’s Church to…

Engagement Session at Pulteney Park and Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Geneva, NY ♥ Kara + Nick

Kara and Nick were such a great couple to photograph! If we didn’t know better, we would have thought that they had done this before. As awkward as they may have thought they were going to be, they were very relaxed, and had no problem forgetting that we were even there! The light was perfect for their evening engagement session in Geneva, and we started out near the historic Row Houses on South Main Street. We had the perfect opportunity, with the parade going on down the road, to get some shots of the two of them around town. Considering that it’s an otherwise busy area, we encountered hardly any people, giving these two a chance to be cute and romantic, with only a couple of hecklers. Making our way down to Pulteney Park, we stopped for some beautiful sun-lit portraits, before getting to the unique water fountain, that sparked some childhood memories and giggles for Nick. Before heading off to meet up with Eva, the couple’s German Shepherd, we stopped for a quick gaze at the picturesque Seneca Lake. Afterward, we took a short drive to the Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where we greeted with some VERY LOUD “Hellos!” from Eva. Though all bark and no bite, not gonna lie, we initially thought we would be leaving with a couple less limbs. I’m guessing she sensed we were cat owners, and decided to express her feelings on that. As long as she was cuddling with her humans, she was a happy pup! We finished up their session by…
