Wedding at Marriott Syracuse Downtown, Syracuse, NY ♥ Lauren + Dan

Lauren and Dan’s recent wedding at Hotel Syracuse could not be topped! We actually met Lauren back in 2013 when she was Maid of Honor for another one of our fabulous couples – Abby and Brendan! When Lauren contacted us in her search for a wedding photographer, we couldn’t have been more excited to photograph her and Dan’s wedding. But the plot thickened! Before we knew it, we were actually meeting with another couple who happened to be friends of theirs. Thanks to modern technology Christine and Dan actually knew that Lauren and Dan had booked us before we did, since they texted them during our meeting! Lauren and Dan are such a sweet and fun couple (just like their amazing friends who can all be seen in the photo below), and we had a lot of fun with them right off the bat, during their engagement session last fall. If you missed seeing the images from their session, you can find them here. Their big day came before we knew it, and it went off without a hitch. Their ceremony at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary was absolutely beautiful, and we visited Franklin Square for some very memorable moments with their bridal party. Their reception at the Hotel Syracuse was energetic to say the least! Everyone was up and dancing, and had a blast. Have a look at the photos and slideshow below to see for yourself! Wedding at Marriott Syracuse Downtown, Syracuse, NY ♥ Laura + Patrick

We had been really looking forward to Laura and Patrick’s wedding at Marriott Syracuse Downtown this year! Also known to the locals as Hotel Syracuse, this historic wedding venue has seen a lot of brides and grooms tie the knot since its opening in 1924, and when it was renovated and re-opened for business last year, we were excited to be able to celebrate there with this wonderful couple on their wedding day! It was hard to imagine their wedding being anything less than perfect, after their amazing engagement session last fall. If you missed our blog post for their session, you can check it out here. It’s one of our all-time favorites! We had an amazing day with the bride and groom, and even though the threat of rain had us biting our nails for a minute, Mother Nature came through. A pretty sizeable downpour happened during their ceremony at Assumption Church, but went away long before it had a chance to affect their day. We made a stop at one of the area’s most well-known parks for their portraits, and though under construction, Laura and Patrick managed to make the place look amazing. Their reception was off the charts! With the help of Lindsey at the Marriott, and the musical talents of Kirk at Select Receptions,  the splendor of their celebration the even attracted a few unexpected guests to check it out! It was great getting to work with Kirk a second time this season, and the guests thoroughly enjoyed the music with an evening full of dancing!…

Wedding at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, Homer, NY ♥ Martha + CJ

Martha and CJ’s recent wedding was one of the prettiest backyard celebrations we’ve had the pleasure of photographing! But before we gush over their wedding, let’s first reflect back on their Engagement Session! We had such a great time photographing that, and getting to meet spunky little Boo, that we knew we were going to have a fantastic time working with them on their wedding day! If you missed out on our blog post of their session last fall, please do take a minute to visit, because it is a must-see! But getting back to their wedding day, it was a gorgeous summer day with perfect temperatures and bright blue skies. Their ceremony was filled with laughs and tears of joy alike. And their bridal party was a complete blast – what a great group of friends and family! And their reception was one that will surely go down in history as being one of the greatest celebrations under a tent! Which by the way, deserves a very honorable mention! A great lot of hard work, creativity, and planning went into making it such a beautiful space for their reception. Something that only a great team of professionals can put together! Wedding at Francesca’s Cucina, Syracuse, NY ♥ Jess + Mike

Who doesn’t love an awesome wedding reception at the area-favorite, Francesca’s Cucina? Jess and Mike’s wedding day was one we were definitely looking forward to! After their fun engagement session at the Martisco Train Museum, we were excited to see what Francesca’s looked like with their new renovations. If you missed out on seeing their engagement session, you sneak a peek at some of the highlights here. Jess made an absolutely stunning bride – that hair though! Their beautiful ceremony took place at the Dewitt Community Church – such a pretty, and bright place for a wedding! After their ceremony, we headed to Franklin Square Park for their bridal party portraits, before heading to Francesca’s. Francesca’s has always been a gorgeous place for a meal, especially in their outdoor dining area, but WOW! The place looks amazing! It really makes you forget you’re in Syracuse – it’s just like walking into an authentic restaurant right in Italy. A huge thumbs up to Francesca’s for their amazing job on the renovations, and of course the fantastic food that they served! After their fun and upbeat reception full of dancing, Jess and Mike along with their bridal party, headed out to the curbside to light some Chinese Lanterns. A little bit of fire, a few wishes, and a lot of laughs made for a great end to the evening! See for yourself! Knapp Winery Wedding, Romulus, NY ♥ Maggie + John

Maggie and John’s wedding at Knapp Winery was one we won’t soon forget! It was a perfect summer day with the most beautiful blue skies and, white, billowy clouds. Their intimate ceremony with their closest family and friends was extra special and befitting for such a sweet couple. They walked to their ceremony location in the field hand-in-hand, and met their friends who officiated the ceremony in the center of a circle made of beautiful flowers. A short, but sweet ceremony was followed by a romantic, sun-lit dinner beside the vineyards. The meal and dessert fit for a king was served to their guests as the golden sun set behind them. We wrapped up the evening with a few portraits in the vineyard and by the pond. Ceremony: Knapp Winery Reception and Catering: Executive Chef John McNabb – Knapp Winery Officiant: Ali Churchman and Josh Piejko Thank you, Maggie and John, for inviting us to be a part of your heartwarming wedding celebration! Martisco Train Museum Engagement Session, Marcellus, NY ♥ Jess & Mike

Jess and Mike’s recent Martisco Train Museum Engagement Session in Marcellus was a fun and unique way to celebrate their engagement, and for us to spend a little time getting to know them before their upcoming wedding! This was our first visit to Martisco, which is one of the two museums here in Central New York. For anyone with an interest in trains, and the railway system, this was a great place to go, and they were kind enough to open up out of season, just for Jess and Mike!It was a lovely evening, and we had a great time photographing them. We are really looking forward to joining them again soon to celebrate their nuptial with friends and family! Elopement Inspired Engagement Session, Syracuse, NY ♥ Christine & Dan

Christine and Dan’s elopement inspired engagement session was one of the most fun sessions we’ve had the pleasure of photographing! What started out with a conversation about dogging some burgers in a white dress, emerged into a fun session around downtown with a couple of our very own celebrities. It’s no secret that we really love engagement sessions with our clients, because it gives us a chance to get to know each other and have fun – with no timelines or guidelines to adhere to. It’s especially fun when the couple has some ideas on what types of images they have in their head. This is a perfect example of how a crazy little idea can quickly turn into something wonderful! There aren’t too many words needed to tell the story of our afternoon together, the images tell the story themselves, but we had so much fun here near the Onondaga County Court House,  and in Columbus Circle! We made a quick stop at Lemp Park…Walked the city streets, and made our way to Sky Armory, where the couple will soon be celebrating their “real” nuptials with their friends and family. All of this love stuff, and having your own personal paparazzi team will make any good-looking couple hungry and thirsty. The staff at Liehs and Steigerwald were happy to serve up some big fat burgers and tasty fries. And they were especially forgiving of their paparazzi, too! A couple of refreshing brews and some darts made for a good follow-up after wolfing down those juicy burgers! What an awesome time we…

Timberlodge at Arrowhead Golf Club Wedding, Akron, NY ♥ Samantha + Ken

Samantha and Ken’s wedding at Timberlodge was a bittersweet end to our 2016 wedding season. Sam and Ken came to us just over a year ago looking for their wedding photographer, and we knew instantly that would love to have them as our clients. They dazzled us with their sweet love for each other when they met us in Lake George for their engagement session last October. One year later, we met them in Buffalo at the Spring Hill Suites as they readied for what would be an amazing wedding day!Samantha and her ladies were lucky to have the talents of Eva Jewel for their makeup application, and Sue Baker for their hair styling. All of them looked fantastic! Her stunning florals were courtesy of the talents of  I Do Weddings Florist.Their ceremony at St. Amelia’s Roman Catholic Church was followed by an amazing cocktail hour despite the windy chill outside!Sam and Ken’s day was perfect, not one raindrop fell from the sky, while Syracuse and the eastern part of the state suffered through rain and even snow!Sam and Ken worked really hard at putting so much into every single detail of their wedding. And it showed! And their families were absolutely overjoyed by being there to celebrate their day.Saxman Slim knocked it out of the park with his sax, and with his song choices for the evening. There was no spare room on the dancefloor at any given time. They ended the night with a s’mores bar, and a few romantic kisses by the gazebo.Sam and Ken, the two of you…

Dibbles Inn Wedding, Vernon, NY ♥ Heather + Adam

Heather and Adam’s wedding at the Dibble’s Inn in Vernon, was such a blast! These two were such a fun and laid back couple to work with, and their wedding was just as fun and laid back as they were! We were pretty excited to hear that Heather was even going to coordinate her hair color with her wedding decor! Nikki from Euforium can be thanked for her amazing color and wedding day coiffure. We knew probably in the first 15 minutes of meeting Heather and Adam that we were going to be a good fit. All 15 minutes were taken up by conversing about cats. One crazy cat lady always recognizes another! On their wedding day, Heather and Adam got ready at La Quinta Hotel, and then traveled to the Dibbles Inn where their ceremony and reception would be held. They had their first look right on the front porch, followed by some pretty fun and unique portraits. As firefighters, they had tot have a “little something” to incorporate one of the things they enjoy doing together most, in their wedding portraits.Don’t worry, no firefighters were injured in the making of these wedding portraits. But they sure did look pretty cute.Heather had some pretty awesome bridesmaids, but since Danielle was unable to make the wedding, they made sure she would still be included in her wedding pictures. So her face on a spatula made the rounds, all day long. They had a sweet ceremony, in which they exchanged their vows under the cover of some very beautiful trees, that made a great backdrop,…

Lourdes Camp Engagement Session, Skaneateles, NY ♥ Martha & CJ

We just adored Martha and CJ’s engagement session at Lourdes Camp, in Skaneateles! It was a delightful fall afternoon and the perfect place to have their session, with all of the leaves changing colors!Lourdes Camp is situated right on Skaneateles Lake at Tenmile Point, where the scenic views from the beach are just breathtaking! They brought along their cute, furry little friend, “Boo”, who totally wanted to steal all the thunder away from them, right from the very start! He tried so hard, too! He was just so cute, that we couldn’t help but let him have a little bit of attention. The dry summer that turned into fall left the creek bed nice and dry – a perfect place to put these love birds for a portrait! Boo really didn’t give up on being the center of attention. In fact, he even upped his game as the session went on. But, Martha and CJ still managed to keep in a romantic mood despite the antics of their four-legged fur baby. Especially with the campfire, and some cuddles to keep them warm. Our time with them came to a close when the skies opened up and the rain that threatened the session all day finally made an appearance. But we didn’t mind a bit! What an awesome session this was, Marth and CJ (and Boo, too)! We really had a great time, and the two (or three) of you were so easy to work with! We are eager to be there with you again next year for the wedding! Le gach dea-ghuí, (With all…

Ventosa Vineyards Engagement Session, Geneva, NY ♥ Lisa & Casey

Lisa and Casey’s engagement session started out at the beautiful Ventosa Vineyards, in Geneva. It was such a lovely autumn day and we had the vineyards all to ourselves, overlooking the sparkling Seneca Lake!Well, almost! This little fella wanted to see what all the fuss was about. After a few close ups, he let us get back to work. The pretty blue skies, and the golden autumn sun helped make some very pretty portraits!Oh, and we couldn’t leave without a photo of the donkeys. The kept their eyes on us to make sure we were doing a good job. After we left the vineyards, we headed over to Sampson State Park where Teddy joined us for a few portraits by the lake.It turned out to be a gorgeous evening, even though it was pretty cold at the end. We had a wonderful time with you three, Lisa and Casey, and we are super excited for your wedding next year! It’s going to be fabulous!
