Wedding at Arrowhead Lodge, Brewerton, NY ♥ Alice + Chris

No, you’re not seeing things – we were actually at Arrowhead Lodge two weekends in a row, this time for the long-awaited wedding for Alice and Chris! You might remember last fall, when this adorable couple had their Ontario Orchards and McIntyre Bluff engagement session. We enjoyed their session so much, and were eagerly awaiting their wedding day for almost exactly a year. Just like the week before, the threat of rain brought their ceremony indoors, but it wasn’t any less beautiful and heart warming. Their attention to detail, and hand-crafted decor turned the lodge into an extraordinary place for their guests to enjoy their event. Let’s also not forget my personal favorite – Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, at every place setting. Did anyone get a vomit-flavored one?? Designer lighting provided by Syracuse Weddings – DJ by Design added just the right amount of color and personality to dress up the lodge for a fantastic evening of dancing and celebration. Alice and Chris’ wedding party were energetic, and lively, which made for some great bridal party portraits! Tony’s Family Restaurant provided a delectable home-style buffet, fit for Kings and Queens. And to top it all off, a tasty Sundae bar with all of the toppings you could imagine for dessert! Alice and Chris helped us make priceless images with their silly faces throughout the day. Once Carl and his crew from DJ by Design got the dance music going, you couldn’t pull their guests off the dance floor if you wanted to! We did manage to steal the Bride…

Wedding at Arrowhead Lodge, Brewerton, NY ♥ Jen + Jeff

It’s not every day that you run into a sweet and fun wedding, like Jen and Jeff’s at the Arrowhead Lodge, and we were so excited to see all their wedding day plans put into action! Jen and her bridesmaids got ready at the Holiday Inn Express in Cicero, where her hair and makeup artist enhanced her natural beauty that glowed from the inside, out. She presented her sister, Kelly with a special pocket watch before we headed off to meet Jeff at the Arrowhead. After he presented each of his groomsmen with a  commemorative pair of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle socks, Jeff relaxed by tossing around the football, as he waited for his Bride-to-be. Every wedding has it’s ups and downs, complete with emotional roller coasters. As we waited for Jeff to come for their First Look session, Jen had a few minutes to absorb everything, and even during some frustrating moments, she still managed to keep it together, and still remained her cute self! All of that stress disappeared once Jeff arrived, and we got to see one of the biggest smiles light up her face! Their ceremony took place out back behind the Lodge and under the trees, where they exchanged their sweet vows in the company of their friends and family. Following the ceremony, their four-legged fur baby, Arthur, was eager to make an appearance for their first “family” photo. After their buffet style dinner, the bride came out for a surprise tear-jerking performance, of the song she wrote especially for her new husband. What a…

Mara + Daniel = Married | Hippie & Celtic Themed Wedding Photography at Arrowhead Lodge, Brewerton NY & Tipperary Hill, Syracuse NY

It’s been a while since we’ve shot a wedding for someone we hadn’t just met. But thanks to social media, Colleen reconnected with Mara a few years ago, meeting her many years ago…in grade school! It was such an honor, when her and Daniel chose us to be their photographers for their wedding celebration! Though they were already officially married, they returned to Central New York, and wanted a chance to celebrate with friends and family back in the good old state of New York, where Mara calls “home”. Getting a chance to photograph such a fun day, and capture the adorable faces of the young ones, was such a treat! Now Mara, who prides herself in her abilities to procrastinate (and still pull things off eloquently) nearly gave Colleen heart palpitations since she is so used to the planning phase taking months, if not years. Nope – Mara, unique in every way, managed to put together a fantastic Hippie themed wedding in just one month, with but a few moments to spare! Their special day began a bit… soggy. But not all the rain in Syracuse would dampen their spirits on such a glorious day. The girls were treated to hair and makeup at Studio 11 Salon and Day Spa in Cicero. Mara chose braided ‘dos adorned with none other than the earthy look of daisies! Her Ethereal half up-do, along with her timeless halter style gown, made her a hippie princess , the likes of which have never seen! She was so perfectly well put together with the…
