Wedding at St. Sophia’s and Justin’s Tuscan Grill, Syracuse, NY ♥ Megan + Pat

The moment that we sat down with Megan and Pat, we knew we were going to have a lot of fun making pictures with them! They began by telling us about how their ceremony would involve crowns, and how their bridal party could possibly get a bit out of hand. (This usually makes for some pretty interesting photos, and they did not disappoint!) Megan and Pat were such a fun and easy-going couple, and we got proof of that when we met up with them on a very cold and blustery February afternoon, for their engagement session. The cold and snow did not stop them from being fun and lovable, so we knew they would be just as awesome for their September wedding. The girls were treated to some pampering at both the couple’s home and at Fringe Salon in Fayetteville, while the guys readied at the Courtyard Marriott in East Syracuse. Their ceremony was performed by Father David Smith at the beautiful St. Sophia’s Greek Orthodox Church, where they celebrated their love for each other in front of their friends and family. Following the ceremony we headed to Huntington Beard Memorial Park, and Cazenovia Lake for some portraits. While at the lake, a nearby fisherman lent his catch of the day to Megan and Pat for a photo with the newlyweds. After a pretty sunset, we headed off to Justin’s Tuscan Grill for dinner and a reception full of celebrating and dancing, and a LOT of laughs! Megan and Pat, you guy were 100% right – your bridal party…

Wedding at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Syracuse, NY ♥ Sarah + Andrew

Sarah and Andrew could not have planned a more perfect day for their wedding! The day started with Colleen at the Courtyard Marriott in Armory Square, to find the girls casually getting ready for the day, with some mimosas, conversation and a little laughter. The bride was poised and looking elegant before she even slipped into her dress with the help of her mom and sister. Her gown and shoes were the perfect choice for her, and she looked absolutely stunning! The bridesmaids looked so classic and lovely in their Fawn dresses with their pretty pink bouquets! Such a light and summery color combination, that flattered all the girls perfectly! After the finishing touches were applied, we headed over to the iconic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church, Sarah and Andrew would declare their love for one another, in the presence of their friends and family. Sarah proceeded down the aisle following the beautiful, and moving music of Pipe Major Jack Heins. Following their ceremony, family formals and bridal party portraits were taken outside of the church, with a few photos of the newlyweds in the church garden. We then trekked to Thorden Park for  some great photos, in between the sprinkling spells. The Groom and his Groomsmen were a big help in keeping the ladies dry under the cover of the umbrellas, and the bride’s dad made sure that Greg didn’t melt in the rain as well! Thank you gentlemen, for being so helpful! After the photo fun, we made it to Justin’s Tuscan Grill, for a wonderful outdoor…

Wedding at Plymouth Congregational Church & Justin’s Grill ♥ Abby + Brendan

The weather could not have been more perfect on the day Abby and Brendan were married! A nice sunny day, but not too hot, or too cool! Our couples always seem to be so good at ordering great weather for their wedding days, and these two were no exception! Last fall, we had a very awesome time with these guys on their engagement session, complete with “Johnny”, the couple’s four legged friend. To revisit their session, visit our blog post here. Fast forward ten months to their August wedding… When Colleen arrived to document the preparations for the bride and her girls, everyone was relaxed and excited at the same time. A bored “Johnny” waited out back on the picnic table, for his chance to get in on the celebration.  An already pretty Abby, slowly emerged into a stunning bride with the help of her makeup artist and hair stylist in the company of her mom and bridesmaids. Meanwhile, Brendan and his gentlemen arrived with Greg in Armory Square, to kick off the celebration in style, at the Blue Tusk Pub. After a few drinks, it was time for Abby and Brendan to meet at the sanctuary in the Plymouth Congregational Church, where they would hear the sermon of Reverend Quinn Caldwell. After a beautiful service that included some laughs, some tears, and a lot of love, Abby and Brendan were joined together in matrimony. After a few family portraits at the church, the couple and their bridal party rode happily to Upper Onondaga Park, where a very impatient “Johnny”…
