Lauren and Dan’s Elmwood and Onondaga Parks engagement session was just perfect on a lovely autumn day in Syracuse.
Native to Syracuse, Lauren and Dan felt right at home at our first stop in Elmwood Park. With a shortage of rainfall this summer, the water levels in the creek were nice and low so we took advantage and went right down into the creek bed for some portraits. In addition to its pretty creek, the stone steps are another beautiful feature of Elmwood. We then took the short drive over to Upper Onondaga Park.Well-known for its pond, and gazebo, the park made the front of many postcards. We think that Lauren and Dan made the park look pretty good that day, and would make a nice postcard all on their own!Ahh, the beautiful sunlight! Most people seek the variety of colors that the foliage brings in the fall. As photographers, the colors are lovely, but the true beauty is that warm, romantic sunlight. It makes even a black and white photograph “shine”.And of course, who could “overlook” the views of the city, and the iconic Carrier Dome? Nothing like being able to capture a portrait in front of a city you know and love so well and these guys looked pretty adorable doing it!
Thank you for hanging out with us for the afternoon, Lauren and Dan! And for choosing us to join you on your wedding journey! We look forward to being there for the big day next summer! Congratulations!
Le gach dea-ghuí,
(With all good wishes)
