Critz Farms Engagement Session, Cazenovia, NY ♥ Caitlin & Edmund

We are so happy to share Caitlin and Edmund’s Critz Farms Engagement Session! We got quite a giggle out of the fact that they were worried about looking awkward in their portraits, especially since they look so natural and fun! We had the farm to ourselves… well mostly. There were some pretty nosey animals, that just had to watch everything we were doing. The goats and the donkeys definitely made their presence known, and gave their approval while we worked. It was nice being able to have their session at a place they have enjoyed spending time at. And while it’s not quite time to start picking out Christmas trees, they sure did look pretty with Caitlin and Ed standing next to them.We finished up their session with a cool shot outside the barn. Their sweet silhouette behind them was a fun little bonus to what was already going to be a dramatic portrait! Thank you so much, Caitlin and Edmund, for spending your evening with us, while we played and had some fun on the farm. A big thank-you to Critz Farms for letting us come by, and giving us some wheels to get around! Really looking forward to working with you two again one year from tomorrow on your wedding day! Engagement Session at Chittenango Falls, Cazenovia, NY ♥ Amanda+ Tim

An engagement session complete with a sweet couple, and fly fishing at Chittenango Falls on a beautiful summer evening? Don’t mind if we do… There’s really no better way to say it… Amanda and Tim are really a photogenic and outdoorsy couple, so their choice of Chittenango Falls for their engagement photos was spot on! And it was the perfect excuse for us to make a trip to one of our personal favorite waterfalls! One of Colleen and Greg’s first photo adventures together started out here in 2009! You can see one of the fine art images that resulted from that trip and hangs in our home office, here on Greg’s website, Earth Through The Lens (also known as ETTL for all you photo geeks). Their love for Upstate New York, nature, fly fishing, and of course each other, made for a fantastic session. You can tell by the way that they looked into each others eyes, that they almost forgot the photographers (and other park patrons) were around. We really enjoyed wandering around the park with them, and getting a glimpse of how much love there is between them! It was pretty hot day, and perfect weather to hop in the water to cool off. And a nice humid day, makes for a very foggy, happy accident, when you pull your polarizer out of your steamy pocket, as seen in the last image here. Amanda and Tim, we can’t wait to see what you have in store for your wedding day in just a couple of months! With this…

loooove it!!!! Oddly my favorite photo we aren’t even in! The fly rod with the ring is fantastic. I also really enjoyed the one through the trees with the fly rods, very nice perspective. The black and white sort of give that through back nature look *_*!!! can’t wait to see the rest!!!!

Leuenberger Family | Family Portrait Photography At Lorenzo State Historic Site, Cazenovia NY

As photographers, we really value the opportunity to try out new places to photograph. So when Christina contacted us looking for a unique and fun place to take their family portraits, we were very excited! Being as interested in historical places are we are, we loved the idea of touring the mansion at the Lorenzo State Historic Site, nestled in beautiful Cazenovia, New York. Photos are only allowed outside the mansion, on the beautifully manicured grounds and gardens, but we decided to take the tour inside first. What a great place, inside and out! Full of history and beautiful backdrops for their photos, we had a variety great spots to choose from! Christina and Bob had fun trying to keep the four rowdy boys in line, resulting in very natural, and genuine portraits! Thanks guys for such a fun shoot, we had a great time!  …
