Wedding at Moose River House, Thendara, NY ♥ Jiawan + David

We had such a wonderful time at the wedding of Jiawan and David, with everything located on-site at the Moose River House in beautiful Thendara, NY. The Adirondacks are an amazing place to have a wedding, and the Moose River House accommodated their every need to make for a perfect summer wedding day! Jiawan and David were a fun-loving couple who planned a relaxed celebration with their friends and family that went off without a hitch. It was an extra special day for them, as they share the same wedding day as David’s parents, and a special anniversary dance was a great surprise in honor of them. They had the perfect weather and a wonderful team of folks helping them to organize and set up for their day! Wedding at Lake George, Ticonderoga, NY ♥ Kimberly + Michael

Our very first trip to Lake George, Ticonderoga, for Kimberly and Michael’s wedding could not have been more amazing! The weather was perfect, the skies were beautiful, and this couple had such an endearing love for one another, that we could not have been more thankful to be invited to join them. Kimberly and her girls got ready at the family cottage right on the shore of the breathtaking Lake George. Though we’d never seen her as anything but a bride, we can confidently say that her inner glow was beaming on her wedding day. Lexie Voelker provided the makeup and hairstyles for the girls, and they all looked radiant! Relaxed, and focused, both Michael and Kimberly had clearly prepared for this day for a long time. Michael and his groomsmen readied at the Best Western, and then headed off to St. Mary’s Church where they would exchange their vows. Before the ceremony began, Colleen took an opportunity to sneak into the private room to introduce herself to the groom for the first time. She found him in the company of his best man, as they were exchanging a few last minute words, and as he turned to greet her, she met his tearful eyes, as he prepared for what was clearly an emotional and heartfelt commitment. Kimberly was escorted down the aisle by her energetic and handsome son, Noah, who anxiously embraced Mike, as he “gave his Mom away”. Following their ceremony, and some family portraits, Greg sneaked off with the Bride and Groom for a relaxing boat ride,…

Wedding at Star Lake, Adirondack Park, NY ♥ Liz + Ricky

We are very excited to get to share this very special Star Lake wedding with you today! We had the pleasure of photographing Liz and Ricky last fall for their engagement session, and were eagerly awaiting their beautiful ceremony on the floating dock! If you’re not familiar with Star Lake, it’s a very quaint lake nestled on the Northwest edge of Adirondack Park, where these two actually fell in love. So it made perfect sense for them to have their wedding celebration at the very location where their story began. When we arrived, it really felt as though we were embarking on a camping trip! Set on private property, it actually felt more like a summertime haven for those looking to relax in the great outdoors. Many perfect little cabins, wooded trails, and a perfect beach for their guests to witness the two exchange their vows. Though the rain came through shortly before, it stopped precisely in time for their ceremony, held on the floating dock. The bride, escorted by her parents, arrived at the beach where the bridal party joined them. The rain held out long enough to see them through their ceremony, and formal photographs that followed. But even better was what happened after the rain started again! They really weathered the storm so elegantly under the tent, with a fantastic dinner served up by the ever famous Dinosaur Bar-b-que! Feel free to be jealous, because the food was outstanding! Despite their full bellies, their family and friends had no problem rocking the dance floor through the night.…

Adirondacks Wedding at Camp Fowler in Speculator & Lake Pleasant ♥ Caitlin + Nate

Caitlin and Nate’s big day was one we were especially looking forward to this year! Their selection of an Adirondack venue for their wedding was so full of potential, that we could hardly wait to see what it looked like, decorated with love! What a fantastic place to have a wedding, nestled in the quiet woods, using the natural beauty as your backdrop! We met up with the couple in June, for their E Session, not far from where they exchanged vows in the town of Speculator, NY. If you haven’t already, see their Engagement Photos here. Their special day began with the girls getting ready at the Lake Pleasant Lodge, overlooking the spectacular Lake Pleasant.  The gentlemen got ready at the groom’s parents’ beautiful log cabin home, just across the lake. As the ladies got the royal treatment of hair and makeup, we watched out the window at the dramatic sky, as threat of a tornado continued to worry many folks throughout the morning. Not the Dads, though! They were too busy ironing to worry! Greg and Colleen, however, never spent a moment worrying about Mother Nature. Before long it was time to shuffle off to the ceremony location, at the woodsy Camp Fowler tucked away in the woods between the Sacandaga Lake and Lake Pleasant. Having taken a small tour of the ceremony spot and the impressive Fenimore Hall back in June, we were nothing less than amazed at the fantastic job that Caitlin and Nate, along with their team, did at decorating for their celebration! The wooded…

In the middle of the blog you can listen to the song Nate wrote and recorded for Caitlyn. She heard it for the first time as they danced to it at the wedding….very romantic.
